The Crews Travel Day Off

While the cast stayed in Edinburgh, the crew advanced towards Billingham, stopping in Middlesbrough for the day off. After a leisurely drive down the coast of the north-east, we arrived at our humble residence, paying a visit to Neil's Mum & Dad. We asked Neil to suggest an enjoyable activity in which we could partake in order to fully appreciate the local landscape. He enthusiastically recommended we "bag a peak" (to translate the local lingo means climb a hill), so after fuelling up on tea we set off into the country side and parked at the foot of Roseberry Topping on the outskirts of Middlesbrough.

To our amazement this so called "hill" turned out to be a one and a half mile trek up what is officially described as a mountain, to an altitude of 320 metres above sea level.

We set off, and 45 minutes later after much puffing, panting, stopping, starting, slipping, and the (extremely occasional) bout of running, we arrived at the peak of the mountain, emerging above the fog and mist and witnessed views and a sunset that you only see in books entitled "Roseberry Topping" (by Joe Cornish.)

We looked down, proud with having overcome this incredible feat of endurance, and after taking a few pictures we began our descent back, which proved trecherous and jean-destroying, but took a mere 15 minutes thanks to a little help from gravity.

We arrived back at the welcoming Atkinson residence to a home-cooked roast dinner and now off to the pub for a celebratory pint,

See you soon

The Crew
